The Moody S38 is one of Bill Dixon’s best designs. With great performance, an easy-to-handle sailplan and acres of room below, she is arguably the perfect cruising yacht. “Swiftwind” is the three-cabin & two-head version of the S38, of which 60 were built by Marine Projects in Plymouth. As an added benefit, she is fitted with the 4’11” shoal draft keel, which significantly opens up cruising opportunities that are simply not available to other yachts of the same size.

“Swiftwind” benefits from a number of upgrades over recent years, including:
• new standing rigging (2017)
• new Eberspacher heating system (2017)
• new seacocks and saildrive diaphragm (2016)
• new main & genoa (2011)
• new 135AH batteries (2018)
• new fully enclosed cockpit tent (2017)

“Swiftwind” is only for sale for personal reasons. She has been prepared for sale ashore and afloat, with new anodes and antifouling completed May 2023, plus a recent hull polish. She is now back in the water and ready for new adventures!

I hold full documentation for the boat, including Bills of Sale running right back to the day she was built, original VAT invoice, original Builders Certificate, Lloyds Construction certificate, and SSR registry documentation. Viewings are strictly by appointment through me directly.
